Over the past 2,000 years, the human civilization has witnessed the destruction of many nations, large and small empires, the disappearance of many powerful nations and peoples from the world map, and the disappearance of world-famous languages and cultures.
Over the millennia, the tradition of the Tajik state and statehood has repeatedly experienced many hardships of decline and revival, and after each failure, has achieved greater revival and perfection. Achieving state independence, which coincided with the beginning of the 1990s, is the supreme sign of this phenomenon.
In all the struggles waged by the Tajiks throughout history, the achievement of freedom and independence has always been at the center of their attention, and independence has been a great dream of national existence. Every generation of the past lived in the dream of freedom and died with the dream of freedom.
State independence is the best gift of history, during which the brave sons of the Tajik people strived for the existence of the nation, its language, and culture, to achieve their destiny.
Undoubtedly, today’s generation is one of the happiest Tajiks in the entire historical period of the nation’s existence, because they live in the era of national and state independence.
The modern generation lives in a state of lasting peace and stability, and legal conditions have been created for them to live justly, study science, to get married, and work effectively in various fields.
The past 30 years, which is the period of real independence, has witnessed the establishment and strengthening of the pillars of national statehood, the formation of a democratic society based on the rule of law, sustainable development of the country through comprehensive political and social reforms, national and cultural revival of the Tajik people. In the system of international relations, the country has consistently pursued a multilateral policy.
As a result of the implementation of the tested domestic and foreign policy strategy of President Rahmon, today Tajikistan has earned its rightful place on the world stage.
It is obvious that the international reputation of Tajikistan is the result of consistent efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
He has gained the trust of the people by taking responsibility for the country in the most difficult years and pursuing the highest creative goals, putting the national interest above all other interests.
Through his wisdom, courage, determination, and unique efforts, he has saved the country from destruction and death, revived the paralyzed pillars of the state, and returned the refugees to their homeland, restored unity and harmony at home, and strengthened the country’s position and prestige abroad.
Throughout his political career, Emomali Rahmon has earned the respect of his compatriots and high international esteem as a wise and farsighted politician, who consistently protects the interests of his country.
Emomali Rahmon introduced the Tajiks as a civilized nation in the world by implementing strategic goals in the country, reliable prospects for economic and social development, promoting reliable diplomatic relations with partner countries, taking initiatives to address water and energy issues.
The state independence should be protected as an environment for achieving great national goals and creative ideas, putting the highest values of the state above individual, family, and group interests.
It should be noted that a person can be useful to his state only if he really feels it with the well-being of his children, with the peaceful life of his compatriots, with the courage and perseverance of his heroes.
